Green Energy And Their Sources
Many individuals looking to get off the grid and save hundreds on their electric bill are leaning towards green energy and their sources. Basically you have three to choose from to get the renewable energy to produce electricity, heat and hot water. For many years civilizations have been using the power of the wind, sun, and water to satisfy their needs for survival. Today, we have become complacent in relying on power companies to provide us with the needed light and heat for our daily needs not realizing that there is plenty of renewable energy out there that has been provided to us for thousands of years for free. All we have to do is use our resources that the earth has given us.
One of those resources is the sun. It provides light and heat for us in the daytime and when harnessing that light source, with the use of solar panel, we can store the energy to be used later. There are many companies out there that will gladly take your hard earned dollars and provide you with a system that will do just that, but did you know that you can build your own solar panel for less than the cost of paying the utility company for one month? That’s right. For just a few hundred dollars you can start saving on your electric bill with green energy.
Another resource is the wind. It can be used with fantastic results utilizing a wind generator. Usage of wind power dates back about 5500 years when sailboats were built to sail across the sea using it to fill their sails to power them to their destination. Windmills are usually thought of as a source for grinding or milling grain for flour but with today’s technology, the wind can power a whole city using wind generators. This green energy source, with a little knowledge, can be utilized to help, if not power a home completely. Homemade wind generators are becoming more and more popular in today’s society due to the simple fact that energy costs are on the rise. When was the last time you had the power company give you a substantial decrease on your monthly bill?
Water is a reasonable choice if you live by a stream that will continually flow to rotate a waterwheel, which in turn can be connected to a generator that will also produce electricity. Again, today’s technological savvy has given people the opportunity to utilize green energy and their sources to an advantage. Stanley Meyer was a person that not too many people know about, but it was said that he was able to make a car run completely on water. Through much trial and error, he was able to produce, or separate hydrogen in the water to make fuel for his dune buggy. Water is one of our most precious resources which we have an abundance of. If only the great minds of today would come together and get with the program using green energy and their sources, our fossil fuels would be all but illuminated, the “green house effect” would go away, and global warming would be a thing of the past, not a concern for future generations to come.
Educate yourself and do your part with green energy. Build a solar panel or a wind generator and help with the everyday issues that we are faced with and best of all, put the money back into your pocket by using green energy and their sources. You can get the power company to pay you if you do it right.
Saving money and using our resources is what it is all about but here is something that most people don’t know: Did you know that if your purchase plans and build wind generators or solar panels or even a hybrid car with Obama's grant program you could be rewarded by the Federal Government by receiving funding to help with their plan on reducing our dependence on fossil fuels? This is one of their top agenda items for 2009. Depending on what you do, there has been reported funding of anywhere from $600-$2000! That’s a lot of money! If you are eligible, you will receive a check in a month or two. You can’t however apply for multiple energy grants. For example, if you own a hybrid car, solar panel and a wind generator you can specify the information in the grant kit if you qualify to receive it. What a way to get some of those hard earned dollars put back into your pocket.
Green energy and their sources can be a part of your everyday life that only you will experience if done right. It is simple, it’s easy and you can help save the earth for generations to come. Have fun and be happy.
